Money never
looked so good

At TallyMoney, we believe that people have the right to choose. Be that the money they use every day or the card they take on vacation. So, we decided to turn our TallyMoney Debit Mastercard® into a blank canvas for creatives. Introducing our four winning entries…

Title: Metamorphosis
Medium: Watercolour

“This work depicts my 5-year-old son, Ayo. The tree he stands before has strong roots, laying the foundation for something evergreen. Filled with butterflies post metamorphosis, we can see the importance of change for a prosperous and happy life.

Creating this work for TallyMoney with my son in-tow, I hope to teach him a valuable lesson in entrepreneurship, in making choices, in creating value, in freedom of expression, and in protecting future generations from those institutions that no longer serve us today.”

Title: State of Flow
Medium: Digital Illustration

“As a musician, my work is often influenced by concepts found in music, such as the synthesis and modulation of layers found in State of Flow.

The design features TallyMoney’s familiar colour palette with a textural element to represent rows of physical gold and to remind viewers that money in a TallyMoney Account is not merely a digital creation but backed by something tangible and of real value.

The flowing shapes and fluidity of the design works to cement TallyMoney as not just a bank challenger but as a movement, taking on inflation and unreliable banking systems.”

Title: Untitled
Medium: Acrylic on canvas

“In my abstract painting, there is nothing tangible, just a sense of vitality and dynamism. It works to highlight the different forms of existence for different creatures – microbes, plants, and animals.

Life is constantly evolving, and this piece aims to break down barriers, championing the sensory and, like TallyMoney, the importance of intrinsic value.”

Title: Brambles
Medium: Digital collage

“My practice explores what it is to embody physical experiences within the natural and unnatural realms.

Comprising 3D software, film and digitally generated images, my work is a vocabulary of charms and emblems that sit in between reality and the supernatural.

In Brambles, the rabbit symbolises fiat currency being created out of thin air, as if by magic, and serves as a reminder that TallyMoney represents a real, tangible asset from the natural world.”
